Hamlet, 1964: Trailer for Kozintsev film

Famous Russian director Grigori Kozintsev earned universal praise for this film of Hamlet, even when presented in Russian. It offers an impressively dynamic Hamlet of genuinely heroic character, and the whole film has a vivid liveliness which belies its black and white format. The medieval castle setting is very apt and convincing.
